Hackney Empire and Empire Cafe are located on Mare Street, adjacent to Hackney Town Hall. Empire 2 is located behind the Hackney Empire, opposite our stage door on Wilton Way.

By Train/Tube
Hackney Central (2 mins walk from the Empire) has regular trains linking to the Tube with direct interchanges at Highbury & Islington (Victoria Line), Stratford (Central Line) and West Hampstead and Canada Water (Jubilee Line). Bethnal Green (Central Line) is a short bus ride away. Hackney Downs and London Fields train stations are 10 minutes walk away with trains going into Liverpool Street.

Our local Tesco supermarket on Morning Lane have kindly offered access to their car park for Hackney Empire show audiences for the duration of the show, if they have space available. Hackney Empire audience members need to find a parking space in the Tesco car park, then go into the store with their vehicle registration details and ticket for that date’s performance to show to Tesco’s door security guard. Please note that spaces are limited and unreserved and therefore cannot be guaranteed by either Tesco or Hackney Empire. We are grateful to Tesco for their support.

We have limited spaces available in the car park adjacent to Hackney Town Hall on Wilton Way each evening after 5pm and all day Saturday and Sunday, subject to availability. This is now a permanent arrangement thanks to the support of the London Borough of Hackney.
