Wedge Card Logo Starting in 2008, when you join the Hackney Empire friends programme starting at a giving level of £30 you will also become a member of The Wedge Card - a loyalty card that is honoured in independent shops, restaurants and venues throughout London including Cafe Gossip, Art Vinyl, Blueberries and Foyles Bookshop. 

Hackney Empire Friends giving levels are:

Hackney Empire Friend - £20 per annum

  • Savings on ticket prices as stated in our season brochures
  • Advance mailing of each season brochure together with a regular newsletter detailing life at the Hackney Empire and updates on local discounts for members
  • A priority booking period for each season before the box office opens to the general public
  • A range of discounts at restaurants in the locality of the Hackney Empire as well as on main transport routes into Hackney.
  • A reduced price back stage tour of the theatre for two people. Tours take place on the first Saturday of every month.
  • 20% savings on drinks at all bars in the theatre.

Hackney Empire Wedge Card Friend - £30 per annum 

All of the above plus a Wedge Card sticker that will allow you to use your Hackey Empire Membership Card for savings in independent shops throughout London as well as Foyles Bookshop and Tate Modern - you will automatically become a member of the Wedge Card prgoramme 

Hackney Empire Siver Card Member - £60 annum

All the benefits of Wedge Card Friends plus:

  • Membership of ‘The Preview Club'- entitles individuals to complimentary tickets to selected preview/opening nights.
  • Free backstage tours of the theatre
  • Educational workshops and events arranged both in conjunction with visiting productions and also independently by the theatre education department
  • A free ticket exchange facility
  • Talks by actors/directors/theatre staff on their work

Hackney Empire Gold Card Member - £200 annum  

All the benefits of SILVER Friends membership plus:

  • Cast Party invites for opening Hackney Empire productions.
  • Discounted use of corporate entertainment facilitie, pre or post performance, once per year.
  • Invitations to special events hosted by Simon Thomsett and Griff Rhys Jones.
  • Support credited in each season brochure and on the website.
