Showcasing the freshest new Hip Hop Theatre performance, hosted by Jonzi D. A regular showcase of new Hip Hop Theatre work, The Surgery is a unique platform for emerging and established artists to present new Hip Hop theatre work. The unique aspect of the evening is after each piece, the audience has a chance feedback directly to the artists about what they've just seen.

Hip Hop Theatre is a genre pioneered by London-based emcee Jonzi D, mixing all the elements of Hip Hop culture (dance, DJ-ing, emcee-ing, graff and beat boxing) and using them to make new theatre work.

For this Surgery, we are joined by special guest emcees from South Africa (Tha Hymphatic Thabs & Ben Sharpa) and artists from London and beyond as well as making our debut in Hackney.
