Sivas'93 was awarded the "best play of the year " by the International Association of Theatre Critics. Genco Erkal was awarded director of the best production of the year. Writers Syndicate of Turkey presented a plaque to Genco Erkal for his "contribution to the Freedom of Speech" and named him as their honorary member for his outstanding play.
