  • Artistic Development Programme Auditions (ADP16)

    Our Artist Development programme (ADP) is a two week summer programme for young artists aged 13-19, who have an interest in the performing arts. First started in 2000, ADP has now become Hackney Empire's flagship education programme developing the Next Generation of young artists. This year's ADP will celebrate the legends of the world famous Motown record label.

  • TWIST Theatre Company presents MACBETH

    Following a two week performance at the internationally renowned Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Hackney Empire's new Graduate Theatre Company, TWIST, return to London to perform their first production, a 21st Century take on Macbeth – Shakespeare meets Channel 4’s Empire with music, dance and a lot of attitude. Directed by Susie McKenna. Schools performances available.

  • Open House 2016

    We're taking part in Open House London 2016, the capital's largest architectural festival. Our exuberant, Frank Matcham designed Grade II* listed auditorium is one of the best examples of Edwardian variety theatre remaining in London. So come and take a look this September as hundreds of great buildings open up their doors to all.
