REST is the culmination of two years of collaboration with communities whose futures have been redirected by conflict, movement and the search for home: descendants of the Windrush generation, Ukrainian children living with the continuing reality of war, survivors of the Kindertransport, and people seeking asylum rebuilding their lives in the UK today.
Led by the communities at its heart, REST: Borders and Belonging is a major new orchestral work that asks profound questions about welcome, borders, and what it means to leave, to arrive, and to belong.
