About Decline and Falling Over with Jo Brand
Jo Brand is getting on a bit and, to be frank, all this stuff about ageing well and staying active has made her feel rather tired.
BAFTA-winning star and co-writer of Getting On and a familiar face on Have I Got News for You, Would I Lie to You and Taskmaster, Jo has spent her career saying the things other people think but won't say aloud.
Jo will draw on dispatches from the second half of life: lying unconscious under a surgeon’s knife with your fingers crossed, a jam and mongoose sperm emulsion (alright, Jo made that one up), and the pharmacy staff who know you by name. Things you can expect: not changing her pants, embracing the utter joy of becoming an ‘invisible’ older woman, and a celebration of the endless opportunities afforded by selective deafness.
This is not a ‘life begins after menopause’ pep talk. This will not tell you how to live longer or better. (Sorry.) Instead, join Jo as she ponders how to age her own way.
Presented by Fane.
