Clive Rowe returns to direct and star as Dame Trot, alongside Kat B as Simple Simon Trot.
The beans have been planted and the beanstalk is growing! We're delighted to announce the full cast and reveal the new artwork for this year’s pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk. The show runs from Sat 21 Nov – Thu 31 Dec.
Leading the cast is Olivier Award-winner and panto royalty Clive Rowe, returning to Hackney Empire to direct and star as the fabulous Dame Trot. Joining him is Hackney Empire legend Kat B, returning for his incredible 21st Hackney Empire pantomime, this year playing Simple Simon Trot.
They’re joined by Louise Cielecki as Fairy Firethorn, Christopher Staines as Stephen Fleshcreep, Marina Lawrence-Mahrra as Jack Trot, Summer Priest as Jill and Andre Antonio as Harp and Timothy Trot. Completing the company are Ellie Greenway, Alanna Panditaratne, Charlize Indigo, Charlie Scales, Toby Seddon, Lara Wollington and Sam Jamison.

Join happy-go-lucky Jack on an epic adventure after he sells his family’s beloved cow for a handful of magic beans, setting off a chain of events that leads high into the clouds. As Jack climbs up the beanstalk, he discovers an enchanted land, a powerful giant and a host of surprises, but can he outsmart the giant and save the day?
Jack and the Beanstalk will bring together everything audiences know and love about our pantomimes, huge laughs, toe-tapping songs, dazzling dance numbers, extravagant costumes and plenty of chances for everyone to join in the fun.
This year’s pantomime is extra special as we celebrate the 125th anniversary of Hackney Empire, with more surprises, celebrations and unforgettable moments to be announced throughout the festive season!
