As we approach our 125th birthday, we’re inviting you to take part in one of our group sessions celebrating the history of Hackney Empire.

We’re gathering stories, memories and moments that capture what the theatre has meant to our community over the years. Whether it’s something you experienced yourself or a story passed down from a loved one, we’d love to hear it.

Each session will include a range of creative exercises designed to help you share your stories in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

They will take place on the following dates at Hackney Empire:
Tue 9 Jun 6pm - 8pm
Thu 25 Jun 6pm - 8pm

The stories shared will help shape how we celebrate our 125th birthday and with your permission will be captured. During the session, we will talk with you about how and where your stories may be used and following the session, we may contact you about further opportunities to be involved.

Places are limited, but we’re keen to welcome as many people as we can. The deadline for applying is Fri22 May at 6pm. We will contact you by Fri 29 May at 6pm to confirm your place.
