We’re looking for young people who are interested in wellbeing and mental health to join our Mental Health Champions programme. You’ll work with others to support wellness in the HE Creative Futures community; helping to shape and deliver fun creative wellbeing activities while building confidence and mental health knowledge.

Where: Hackney Empire

How much: Free for 16 - 21-year-olds

What you’ll do:

  • Help to co-design HE Futures wellbeing projects (e.g. uplift)
  • Be the voice for your peers to speak out about current impacts on young people’s mental health
  • Lead short wellbeing activities during workshops
  • Help create a kind and supportive space for everyone
  • Let staff know if someone needs extra support (you won’t have to solve problems alone)

What you’ll gain:

  • Practical wellbeing tools you can use in everyday life
  • Skills in listening and facilitation
  • More confidence in speaking up and supporting groups
  • A certificate of recognition at the end of the programme

No experience needed, training will be provided. You just need an interest in wellbeing and mental health.

Time Commitment: 1x day mental health training, 1x safeguarding workshop, monthly meetings, and support during HE creative futures projects.
