By train

The closest station is Hackney Central (5 minute walk) which has regular trains to Highbury and Islington (Victoria line), Stratford (Central line) and West Hampstead (Jubilee line).

Bethnal Green (Central Line) is a short bus ride away.

Hackney Downs (10 minute walk) has trains going to Liverpool Street, Chingford, Cheshunt and Enfield Town.

London Fields (12 minute walk) also has trains going to Liverpool Street.

Hackney Empire is within Oyster Card Zone 2.

By bus

The closest bus stop is Hackney Town Hall which is less than 1 minute from Hackney Empire.

By taxi

If you are booking a taxi to drop you off or pick you up from Hackney Empire, the easiest spot to choose in on Wilton Way at the side of the building.

By car

Hackney Empire is located within a controlled parking zone. For more information on where you can park in the area, visit Hackney Council's website. You can also rent a parking space within the area via JustPark.

There are a limited number of Disabled Parking Spaces on the roads surrounding Hackney Empire, which are available for use. Find out where you can park nearby with a blue badge.

Which entrance do I need?

Your tickets will let you know what floor you’re on as they will say Stalls, Dress Circle, Upper Circle or Gallery.

If you have a ticket in the Stalls or Dress Circle, please enter the theatre via the main entrance on Mare Street. If you have a ticket in the Upper Circle or the Gallery, please enter the theatre via the side entrances on Wilton Way.
