Food & drink

We have a bar on every level of Hackney Empire selling a range of drinks and snacks, so please do come and join us when doors open.

All of our bars are open before the show and during the interval (if there is one).

Please note: All of our bars are card-only, accepting all major credit and debit cards apart from American Express.

Two Palms:

In the 18th century, the largest arboretum in the world was located on the fields where Hackney Town Hall and Square stand today.

Built by the Loddiges family of Nurserymen, for 100 years the glass house was home to a vast collection of exotic plants, trees and flowers, including fabulous collections of rare orchids. At that time such flora, imported from around the world were awe inspiring and magical.

The town square is today prevailed over by two palms. These beautiful Canary Island variety date palms were placed here in celebration of that history. JAGUARSHOES COLLECTIVE are pleased to acknowledge that fascinating past with our new bar and music venue.

The team of The Victoria Dalston and Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes join forces in this new music venue in Mare Street. Curating in-house shows with the best up and coming bands presented by Permanent Creeps, and working with London best promoters such as Bird On The Wire, Eat Your Own Ears, Club The Mammoth, Bad Vibrations, Night Terrors, Triples Is Best and many more.

Located on the corner of Mare Street and Wilton Way. Find out more about the venue by clicking here.
