A five week programme centered in the experience of young people who are interested in playing as part of a band, wanting to gain the confidence and skill in performance, exploring sounds and more.

During the five week programme you will:

  • Work in an environment that balances fun, creativity & expression.
  • Develop the ability to carry a performance as a band, without the centre point being a singer, instead as instrumentalist.
  • Work as an ensemble, while developing technical work skill and performance style.
  • Collaborate with new musicians.
  • Spending time composing, improvising and arranging independently.
  • Exploring themes/genres outside of you comfort zone.

You will also have the chance to watch the Romeo & Juliet production at Hackney Empire for free as part of the project.
